We are pleased to announce how many of you have embraced the nutrition component of our program. You have shared stories on increased performance by reducing your fast food intake, carbonated beverages and many foods which lack nutritional value. Following along with the seminars and handouts you have begun to take a serious approach to proper hydration, selection of foods before, during and after your runs. Trust that each little change you integrate into your training program will have a compounded effect on your overall health and performance.
For optimal performance, a program has to closely match your individual needs and function. The articles which have been written specifically for this program are based on experience with athletes and scientific data. By following along with the information and asking questions, you will be best equipped to tailor this program to your specific needs at any given point in your training.
Researching the cost of training programs in this area, we have found many to be less comprehensive, shorter in duration and averaging well over $300.00. throughout the season or as a ‘Preconditioning’ period to Track or Cross
Youth training programs are coached by, Coach Dan Guillory. Dan is currently a local High School Track and 2016 State Champions Cross Country Distance Coach, USATF Level 1 Certified and National Federation High School (NFHS) Coaching Certified. He will help your young athlete get stronger, faster, mentally and physically Race Ready. Whether he or she is racing Cross Country, or 800 meters – 3200 meters at any track meet level. We specialize in ‘Pre-conditioning Period’ training for track and Cross Country Season’s, getting your young athlete ready with much more than with the typical schools short ‘conditioning period’ before the season.
West Coast Road Runners (WCRR) was founded by Head Coach Dan Guillory in 2002. Over the years, WCRR has trained and mentored many young athletes who have gone on to continued success in high school and colleges across the nation.

Our next camp registration will open in May/June for our 2017 Summer Distance Camp in mid July. Camp is expected to fill fast, so register early. There will no day of event registration.

Our distance camps are designed for all distance athletes between the ages of 13 and 22 (high school +). Getting ready for Track or Cross Country Seasons. Our 2 Day Camps are coached by Coach Dan Guillory and 3 Time Olympian, former American Mile Record Holder (for 26 years), Coach Steve Scott.
Our camps are timed perfectly so that we will not interfere with your school track or Cross Country programs and we help you train during the Winter or Summer Break period. So, plan your Summer and Winter breaks around our Distance Camps.
During camp you will learn more about your running style, good running form, LT pace, we’ll teach you the correct way to do drills so you become more efficient and maximize every day of training leading up to your season. Your coaches will be proud of your knowledge, focus and ability to do things the ‘right way’. Every athlete will receive a ‘techincal’ run shirt and a chance to win great raffle prizes (last camp – Garmin watches and running shoes).
